Comic and collectible fans in the Edmonton area have lots of great places to choose from. With over 15 locations in and around the city, I have yet to visit them all, but have made it to at least 6 comic shops over the past couple years - and am looking forward to visiting the others soon. Some of these have been around a long time now, and others are fairly new on the scene which is always great to see. Listed below are comic and collectible shops that you'll want to check out if you're new to the city or just visiting and looking for some options to add to your hunting efforts.
Be sure to check your local listings or the shops websites to confirm their business hours before venturing down. If you know of any closures - or new shops(!) - let us know in the comments.

Comic King

Website: comickingedmonton.com
Overview: This is one of my personal favourites in the Edmonton area as there are just so many books to dig through here and some impressive wall books. Lighter on the collectibles, toys and other items, it's focused on comics.
From their website, "The Comic King began his rein in Edmonton almost 25 years ago. Since then he has been supplying Edmonton with the largest in-store selection of comic books, graphic novels, t-shirts, action figures and more."
Whether you are a casual reader or a die-hard lover, the Comic King has a comic for you.
Corellian Comics

Overview: Haven't checked this shop out yet, but they state that they have vinyl records. Comics, funks and more, and also take consignments. They do offer pull-lists and also have a range of other random collectibles and looks pretty cool.
Edmonton Comics

Phone: (780) 444-1156
Website: edmontoncomics.com
Overview: Edmonton Comics is located in West Edmonton Mall and is part of larger store with coins and other collectibles as well. I find prices can be a bit higher here, and they won't have much in the way of back-issues to dig through, but do have an amazing assortment of figures and statues to check out.
From their website, "We are a one-stop shop for comic lovers and pop culture collectors in Edmonton and beyond! A venture rooted in the 30-plus year history of West Edmonton Coin & Stamp, fans of comics and collectors of comic-related merchandise will be pleased to discover the same selection of hard-to-find stock and world-class customer service has been brought to bear on the world of comic collecting."
